GATE 2014: Exam to be conducted online only:
GATE 2014 will be conducted online only for 21 papers. The exam will be conducted in 12 sessions.
The online exam will be conducted from February 1 to March 2, 2014.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology ((IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
GATE 2013 admit cards can only be downloaded from the zonal GATE websites.
Candidates are required to bring the admit card to the test centre along with at least one original (not photocopied / scanned copy) and valid (not expired) photo identification.
The question paper for GATE 2014 will consist of questions of multiple-choice type and questions of numerical answer type.
