IET India Scholarship Awards 2013: IIT-B and NIT students win:



The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) announced the winners of the first edition of its India Scholarship Awards 2013. Suhas Vidhate from IIT – Mumbai and Siddha Ganju from National Institute of Technology (NIT) - Himachal Pradesh were announced as the winners in the General and Women’s category respectively.
Unnat Jain from IIT – Kanpur and Ankana Dhar, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur  came in a close second in the General and Women’s category respectively.
The winners were felicitated by Shri.  D.P. Agrawal, Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The winners were presented them with the prestigious IET scholarship along with a Certificate.
The finalists represented IIT-Kanpur and Mumbai; NIT – Rourkela, Durgapur and Himachal Pradesh; R V College of Engineering and M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology from Bangalore and College of Engineering, Pune. About 5,000 students across India participated for the scholarship.
 Eight finalists were selected for the national final round that was held in Delhi on August 23, 2013.
Shekhar Sanyal, Director and Country Head, IET India congratulated the winners for demonstrating outstanding engineering and leadership potential.
