Indian Institutes: World Ranking
The IITs have slipped a few places on both lists. IIT Delhi was ranked as thehighest for Indian institutions this year at 38th position for Asia’s top 200universities. It was ranked as 36th in 2012.
The decrease in rankingswas thought to be attributed to two parameters: teacher-student ratio andinternational faculty.
It was earlier reportedthat the IITs were considering their own ranking and had approached QS so theycould improve their performance in the global rankings.
